My favourite work was the illustration pieces, particularly that of Anneka Tran, Kate Mackelvie and Roberto Goring, who all produced books.

I love the media that Anneka and Kate use, it looks like watercolour which is my favourite medium. I like Roberto’s work because his style of character design is perfect, from the body proportions to the facial expressions, when I looked at his work at the show it reminded me of the work of Joshua Middleton (a comic artist for marvel) which is one of my favourite artists.
When I returned home from the show I had a look through the catalogue, which I found very disappointing as the work inside did not show the strengths of some of the students. I also looked through the DVD, mainly at the animations because I did not look at these at the show, one of my favourite animations was that of Carrie Macklin, they were funny and the poems were well written.
Some of my other favourite illustrators at the show included Sharon Tipton, Gillian Smith and Emily Hayes. Emily produced a book called ‘How to bring dead dogs back to life’ which was very funny, the drawings weren’t amazing but the story itself was very imaginative.
Overall I was very disappointed with the location and the gallery itself but I thought that the work was very impressive.
